Are you getting enough sleep?
I was on a call with one of my clients last week and he told me that his recovery between each session sucks. He is always very sore and feels fatigued the next day.
This is affecting his ability to train more than 2-3 times per week.
So I asked him how many hours per night do you sleep?
He replied with an average of 5-6 hours per night.
I’m sorry but that just doesn’t cut it!
This particular client, like many of you reading this right now, is looking for ways to improve recovery so he can train harder and more reguaraly.
We all want this right?
Today, I am writing to tell you that the number one form of recovery is SLEEP!
You can not beat it, or substitute it.
So rather than searching online for the best source of protein, magnesium oil or massage gun you should check your sleep first.
Minimum of 7-8 hours per night.
If you’re not sleeping 7-8 hours per night then the discussion about nutrition and supplementation won’t be as effective.
Before you start spending your money on recovery remedies let’s get your sleep right. It’s FREE and it’s the best form of recovery on the market!
So tonight, don’t sit on the couch scrolling through your instagram feed. Put your phone away!
Don’t watch one more episode on Netflix. Switch the TV off and please get to bed early.
Thanks for reading.
